In 1948 Werner Breidenbach began his apprenticeship at Paul Drees company in Solingen, Germany. He was to remain loyal to this company as straight razor grinder and later also as owner for more than 55 years. Mr. Breidenbach then made razors on his own and for other companies towards the end of his career. Today, at over 90 years of age, he is one of the last true straight razor grinders in Solingen, who has practiced his whole life and perfected this craft.Each razor shown here is a special edition that the master hand made himself and was made entirely by hand in the finest Solingen hollow grinding tradition. With good care and treatment, each razor will not only give you a lot of pleasure but can also be passed down and used over generations and thus remain a testament to the finest Solingen craftsmanship.

Razor A is a 5/8 Razor (Measures 11/16in. wide) full hollow ground razor with a Spanish tip, lower jumping, mother of pearl and ebony wood scales and a lovely etch

Razor B is a 5/8 Razor (Measures 11/16in. wide) full hollow ground razor with a round tip, wood scales, upper jumping, etched and gold plated spine and a lovely etch

Razor C is a 5/8 Razor (Measures 11/16in. wide) full hollow ground razor with a round tip, multi-colored wood scales, lower jimping and a lovely etch

Razor D is a 6/8 Razor (Measures 13/16in. wide) full hollow ground razor with a round tip, tropical wood scales, lower jimping, etched spine, gold plated spine and tang and a lovely etch

Razor E is a 6/8 Razor (Measures 13/16in. wide) full hollow ground razor with a round tip, ebony wood scales, shoulder less thunb-notched blade, gold plated spine and a lovely etch

Razor F is a 7/8 Razor (Measures 15/16in. wide) full hollow ground razor made from an old Gotta blank, with a round tip, lower jimping, horn scales and a lovely etch
