This 5 piece, Premium Asano Stamped Mikawa Shiro Nagura progression is perfect for razors when used in combination with a hard finishing stone. The entire set is Betsuju (white) and medium hardness. I found this set to be quite easy to work with in terms of reading the feedback. Each Nagura in this set provided a highly effective abrasive slurry which yields a high percentage of its own abrasive when used on base stones LV 4+. In addition to the standard 4 piece (Botan/Tenjou/Mejiro/Koma) this set includes Yae Botan, which is very rare these days. Yae Botan is known for excellent cutting strength and larger particles than normal Botan, resulting in a more coarse experience, overall. the use of Yae Botan ensures that previous coarse scratches are effectively removed.

We have tested each nagura for quality, and carefully matched them for use in progression. In addition all sides except the rubbing surface have been coated with sealer to protect the nagura from water infiltration / deterioration over time.
