Pierre Thiers held an exhibition in Alger in April 1921. On his stand, he exhibited all his beautiful handmade razors. He won the first prize: 2 gold medals. So proud of this, when he returned back to France, he created a new mark—the \"Medaille d\'Or exposition Alger 1921\" in remembrance of his award.

The original mark was usually stamped with the 2 medals in gold, which was so logical! In 1984, the stamp Medaille d\'Or Alger was found, but a major detail was missed, the 2 gold parts on the medals on the straight razor were black. Now honoring a proud heritage, the golden mark or \"d\'Or\" is back in its full honor with the intended gold parts on the medals.

The change was so logical and befitting!

This is the most beautiful mark of Thiers Issard! Its creation was thanks to the skilled founder, Pierre Thiers. The Thiers Issard \'Médaille d\'Or Exposition d\'Alger 1921\' Rams Horn Straight Razor features additional processing of both sides to an eye-catching satin finish with a Hollowed Carbon steel blade.

Thiers Issard was founded in 1884 by Pierre Thiers, a skillful blacksmith known for exceptional handheld blades. The family business continued through Pierre’s wife and sons well into the 20th century, and the handmade blades are still produced in central France today. Thiers Issard stands by its product, offering repair, resharpening, and renovation of its products. This, and all Thiers Issard blades, will certainly stand the test of time.
