Occasionally, about 3-5% of the time, one of the seed halves doesn’t fertilize and the result is a single round (oval) seed that we have come to call the Peaberry.

Peaberries roast differently, and reveal different characteristics of the coffee. Greenwell Farms Peaberry is roasted to a Medium Dark, it has an exceptional sweet and floral aroma. Its taste is usually described as complex and delicate with bright acidity, notes of cherry, citrus fruit, and a naturally sweet after taste. Many first-time drinkers compare it to drinking a high-quality tea.
