The Celtic Castle is designed based on the traditional fairy doors, bearing the Triquetra symbol.
All our doors are handcrafted using only premium red cedar. Cedar is the only wood that can withstand the elements untreated. However, we use an exterior finish to protect the colour from fading over time. The Celtic Castle frame has been painted in a faux stone design. The little door has been stained in a rich mahogany. The hardware we choose is either zinc based, copper or bronze. These metals tend to age nicely over time, adding character to the door. A keyhole has been cut into the back of the door to hang from a screw or nail.
