Blue Classic Tote Bag with Unicorn Leather Flower

To maintain the bag’s structure and prevent sagging, this design features a handmade double-sided matching leather bottom base. The one-of-a-kind leather flower is hand painted in a custom blue, pink, purple and yellow tones. Each handbag includes a muslin cotton dust bag for storage.

This classic tote bag is handcrafted personally by artist Lisa Ramos in her Clayton, California studio . Lisa’s design philosophy is focused on creating high-quality handbags you can wear for years to come.

What makes a MONOLISA tote bag unique? Each handbag is a one-of-a-kind piece. The body of the tote is designed from a single piece of leather, creating a seamless and sophisticated form.

Each bag is an extensive process of sourcing materials, developing a custom handbag pattern, hand cutting leather, skiving, working with adhesives, sewing, creating a painted leather flower, and surging a storage dust bag.

MONOLISA bags are not mass produced and are never sold in retail stores. Pieces are available exclusively on this website or in person at select juried fine art shows, including the San Francisco American Craft Show.

Blue Leather Classic Tote Bag Details

Leather: Beautiful top-grain thick leather tanned in the United States — medium to soft temper and lightly finished for color consistency. Natural leather grain variations are visible with each handmade piece.

Waste Reduction: Waste reduction is a top priority at MONOLISA. To minimize waste, the majority of each leather hide is used during the making of this handbag collection.
