Known as sweetheart bracelets, expansion bracelets originated during the Victorian era and became extra popular during the first and second world wars when departing American soldiers would give these bracelets to their sweethearts as a token of their love. This one is gold-filled and features a beautiful engraved flower and twin hearts in it\'s center heart-shaped face. Marked \'1/20 12K \' and \'Bellavance Inc\' on inside band. Often engraved with initials, there is a clear spot in the interlocking hearts where an initial(s) could have gone, but it looks hardly worn and was never engraved. The band also has a beautiful pattern on every other link.
