A beautiful mid 20th-century European silver filigree necklace with a gold gilt. The necklace is made of a series of intricate shell like or floral elements. This type of filigree work is very delicate and labour intensive. Each element is made by twisting fine wire for the individual components. The result is stunning and unique. The necklace has a hook and eye closure. Really pretty and in good vintage condition. It is a short necklace, meant to be worn close to the neck.
