In terms of functionality, the watch is powered by an automatic movement crafted by Seiko. This means that it operates without the need for a battery, deriving its power from the kinetic movement of your wrist or through manual winding using the crown.

It is important to note that this is a water resistant watch it is not waterproof. To insure its water resistance, the crown must be screwed all the way in and the watch should be kept away from hot water or any chemicals.

To use the watch, follow these steps:

1. Unscrew the crown until you feel it pop into the winding position.2. From this position, turn the crown clockwise to wind the watch\'s main spring.3. Pull the crown out one small click to change the date. Turn the crown counterclockwise to adjust the date.4. Pull the crown out all the way to stop the second hand and adjust the time on the watch.5. To secure the crown, push it inwards until it meets the grooves on the case, and then screw it back onto the case.
