Malachite is an incredibly protective and grounding stone. It absorbs negative energies both from the atmosphere and the physical body. --- \"Gold filled\" means there is a solid layer of gold (12k, 14k, 18k or 24k) permanently bonded to a base metal, such as brass. The minimum layer of gold must equal at least 1/20th of the total weight of the piece in order for it to be designated \'gold filled.\'
