Hans Olsen 800 Series Settee and Lounge Chair reupholstered in mint green leather. The legs are original and show wear consistent with age.

Born in 1919 in Denmark, Hans Olsen (1919-1992) was a Danish furniture designer who created numerous pieces in his own distinctive style. He pursued his studies at the Royal Danish Academy under the direction of the famous designer Kaare Klint from 1941 to 1943. He opened his own studio in 1953 and began to exhibit his works at the Cabinetmakers Guild in Copenhagen

Olsen\'s work is characteristic of mid-20th century design, presenting plunging organic curves and the fusion of multiple materials in one piece.
